The Schokland Treaty

The Netherlands showed its support for the Millennium Development Goals at a large public event in the middle of the Noordoostpolder. A special location for an international programme of debates, speed dates with ministers, music, lectures, films, performances, theatre and talk shows.

The Schokland Treaty is an initiative of Project 2015, one of the 10 national projects from the Dutch government’s coalition accord. The aim is to make up the ground lost in achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
