Every year, the VSB fund awards study grants to students who are going to study abroad for a longer or shorter period of time. Shortly before they depart, the students come together and take a moment to think about the Netherlands, the country they are going to leave behind. This takes place at a different location each year. The 2008 edition centred around Dutch heroism. What is typical Dutch heroism and what makes someone a hero? And who are the new heroes?
