Province of North Holland

Around a thousand civil servants from the Province of North Holland made a journalistic journey of discovery through their own province. In groups of five they went off to 20 different cities, villages and boroughs to take part in different activities. These included racing at the circuit in Zandvoort, sitting in on a recording session in the studios famous for the Volendam ‘eel sound’, joining the warders as they made their rounds of the Haarlem panopticon or guiding freight carriers into the Amsterdam port.

It was a logistical tour de force, but one with a wonderful end result. The participants’ reportages were compiled and published in a unique newspaper.
