In the run-up to the 2010 Parliamentary elections, BKB organised three innovative events that lent colour to the campaign. The events were party-neutral and intended to make the elections accessible to a broad and, above all, young audience.
At The Big Election Gala in a packed Paradiso, party leaders Rutte, Cohen, Pechtold and Halsema gave their ultimate election speech. BNN’s List 0 provided television coverage. > more
The 21-Day Debate was a 21-day online question salvo to a broad panel of politicians, which had its grand finale in a boxing ring on stage at Amsterdam's Stadsschouwburg theatre. > more
Around 1,600 visitors attended The Democracy Party in Melkweg, a nail-biting evening when the election results were announced, which included a full-length live broadcast by RTL News. > more
BKB also initiated the BKB Campaign Award, which was introduced to highlight the beautiful and sometimes rather less beautiful art of political campaigning. > more
