BKB Africa

BKB Africa is a BKB partner company. The campaign agency operates out of Cape Town, South Africa.

In its 11-year history, BKB has gained a great deal of experience running extensive public campaigns linked to themes such as democratisation, healthcare, security and education. With that knowledge and experience, we aim to add value to the African continent. In 2010, we contributed to a pan-African Aids awareness campaign, Fair Play for Africa, which culminated in an Aids awareness festival in the King Zwelithini stadium in Umlazi (Durban’s largest township) during the FIFA World Cup.

In 2010, BKB Africa and the Science & Technology Platform organised a Dutch, Flemish and South African science and technology week on the Beagle. During the World Cup we not only worked for the Dutch National Football Association, we also supervised a special sports trip for the Netherlands Broadcasting Authority.

In 2011, BKB Africa played an important role in the large-scale Saldanha Clean Tech Bay project, around the Port of Saldanha in the Western Cape.

Above all, Africa has a special place in our hearts.

Alex Klusman was born in Africa, and lived in Zambia until he was nine. He doesn’t expect you to have heard of the writer Carl Mason, but he likes to quote these words of wisdom: ‘He who has drunk from the waters of Africa, will live to return!
